Attendee Engagment | Attendee Tracking

Beacons

Beacons are fairly simple devices that repeatedly broadcast their IDs. It is up to a phone, Edge Relay, or some other type of receiving device to add meaning to that broadcast. All mobile phones need an application.

In their simplest form, beacons can be used to pinpoint your location. At their most complex, beacons can transmit and receive data from sensors and other beacons.

Pricing

Variable
  • Pricing for beacons varies on the number of beacons needed and the level of complexity required to complete the intended objective. A limited number of beacons to track attendance of a specific session may be a cost effective way of monitoring traffic while a custom built solution that both tracks data and delivers content over a large area of event space would be significantly more expensive.

Service Values

  • Beacons can wirelessly transmit information to users and capture data based on their location. This could be used to trigger relevant mobile content for education and shopping experiences, to locate attendees, and to collect data to enhance attendee experience based on movement and utilization. These are just some of the possibilities of using beacons for events.
