QR scanning has become widely used and can be a cost effective solution to managing credentials but may not provide the most secure option while facial recognition is fairly new, and provides a high-level of security but it may be costly to implement depending on the vendor.

• Access control ensures only attendees and staff with the proper credentialing have access to the areas specified for them. This prevents attendees from being in staging or staff areas keeping them safe and ensuring they get the intended event experience. It also ensures VIPs or those who paid for a certain level of access are granted those accommodations.
